Jake Elliott put up an underwhelming showcase on Saturday against the Washington Commanders. His mistakes became a major talking point despite the Philadelphia Eagles' 29-18 victory on the road.

In the first half of the game, the placekicker came under fire after missing two field goal conversions. He missed another one, which was later ruled out because the Washington Commanders players were offside.

After the game, ex-NFL linebacker turned analyst Emmanuel Acho shared his thoughts on Jake Elliott's future with the Eagles. In a tweet he shared on X, he did not mince his words while questioning if the franchise will retain the placekicker in 2026.

"I like Jake Elliott a LOT, A LOT. I don't see him being an Eagle next year," Acho wrote.

The Eagles drafted Elliott with the 153rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. In March 2024, he agreed to a four-year extension worth $24 million. So far in nine seasons, he has played in 144 games, completing 213 of the 253 field goals he has attempted.

However, Elliott has missed a field goal in each of the past three games for the Eagles. This has raised questions about the team's direction with the veteran placekicker. Before Saturday's victory over the Commanders, he had completed 17 of the 22 field goals he attempted.

NFL analyst shares his honest thoughts on Jake Elliottt after a disappointing performance against the Commanders on Saturday

After the game, NFL analyst Chase Senior took to social media to share his thoughts on Elliott's missed field goals.

He highlighted the placekicker's statistics in the past five games while questioning if the Eagles needed someone else as a replacement in this position.

"Jake Elliott has now missed a kick in four of his last five games. Do the Eagles have a kicker problem?" Chase Senior tweeted.

Senior was not the only one questioning Elliott's performance. Trey Wingo also criticized the placekicker for his critical on-field mistakes.

"Man Elliott may be staying in DC after this game."

The Eagles lead the NFC East with a 10-5 record and a two-game winning skid. Last season, they went on to win Super Bowl LIX by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2024, Elliott completed 28 of 36 field goals for his team.
