Ex-Broncos tight end Noah Fant officially looking for his next team following Seahawks release

Former Denver Broncos first-round pick Noah Fant will be looking to join his third NFL team following being released by the Seattle Seahawks

Fant was part of the historical trade between the Broncos and the Seahawks ahead of the 2022 season that sent Russell Wilson to Denver in exchange for what turned out to be eight players. Fant spent the past three seasons with the Seahawks, putting up respectable numbers, but he only had one touchdown catch in the last two seasons combined.

The Seahawks will move forward with their young combination of A.J. Barner and second-round pick Elijah Arroyo.

The Broncos traded back in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, from the No. 10 spot to the No. 20 spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers. At No. 10, the Steelers chose Michigan linebacker Devin Bush, a player many Broncos fans wanted to see Denver take. Instead, they landed on Fant.

In three seasons with the Broncos, Fant put up solid numbers, catching 170 passes for 1,905 yards and 10 touchdowns. But in order to get Wilson, the Broncos were going to have to give up some promising assets, and Fant was one of them. The team also gave the Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick.

Fant will be entering his seventh season in the league. He has played in 92 games with 82 starts and has 288 career receptions for 3,149 yards and 15 touchdowns. He should have no trouble finding a new team quickly.
