The Detroit Lions are looking to recapture their 2024 form after a disappointing 2025 season in which Dan Campbell's team went 9-8 and missed the playoffs.
For most, it starts on the offensive side, with Jared Goff's protection needing an upgrade, but the franchise can also make other moves to ensure the bounce-back is quick.
But what about a trade that would send shockwaves through the NFL?
Well, that's what ESPN's Mike Tannenbaum is suggesting.
"Myles Garrett to the Detroit Lions, who says no?" Tannenbaum said on ESPN's GetUp. "Here's a team in Cleveland that is in a massive rebuild, if you look at the Lions, they have Aiden Hutching on one side and Myles Garrett on the other, with that offense, I think they get to the Super Bowl. I think they become the best team in the NFC."

Could Lions actually trade for Garrett?
Absolutely, they could, and money-wise, as odd as it sounds, it makes sense for the Browns.
Per Over the Cap, a trade of Garrett post June 1 would see the franchise eat just $15 million in dead money and save $8.1 million.
That seems feasible.
But on Detroit's side, will they be able to swallow Garrett's $40 million APY contract? Yes, there are always ways to massage the salary cap, and, as Tannenbaum stated, having Hutchinson and Garrett on opposite sides is a nightmare for offenses to deal with.
It would break the internet, but Detroit trading for Garrett isn't out of the realm of possibility, especially if Campbell doesn't value his draft capital this offseason.
