SI Swim’s only twins — Renee and Elisha Herbert — are from Down Under, but for their rookie turn in the brand’s iconic swimsuit issue, they proved they could handle the cold.
In a steamy throwback, the magazine shared four photos from the current issue, all showing the Australian sisters in teeny bikinis and snow accessories while braving the frigid Alps.
“Swimsuit models don’t get cold ❄️,” the brand captioned the Monday, February 23 share to Instagram. Last fall, the magazine deemed the shoot a “showgirl meets ski-chalet fantasy” in the an article in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit with a full photo gallery. The story compared the shoot to Taylor Swift’s new album, Life of a Showgirl.
“Warmest day ever,” Renee quipped in the comments.
“Ha ha .. never ……….,” quipped model and fitness guru Katie Austin, who just celebrated five years with the brand. (Mom is ‘80s workout video icon Denise Austin.)
The cover photo showed the identical twins rocking rocking string bikini tops and snow pants on a snowy mountaintop. In the second pic, they walked through town in bikinis with only a fur shrug to keep them warm. They twinned in the third image, stunning in beige bikinis and furs, and in their epic final share they walked hand in hand through the snow in cheeky bikinis and tall furry boots.
