"Stepping on a downed lineman isn't 'seting the edge,' it is zero IQ football. Hall wanted to be a tough g uy after the whistle and cost his team a starter. This is bush league. You can't play reckless in the trenches and expect the league to look the other way," this fan wrote.

"That's a tough suspension but seems fair given the nature of the play. Hope Hall comes back focused and keeps his aggression in check," another fan said.

The incident took place at the end of the first quarter of the game. According to the league, Derick Hall stepped on Rams OL Kevin Dotson's leg while he was on the ground. He later suffered a knee injury and was removed from the game.

Coach Sean McVay said that while the stomp from Hall did not result in the injury, it certainly "did not help the matter."
