Emmys 2024: Connie Britton Shares What Project She Wants to Work On Next

One thing is for sure, there are no hacks among this group.

Though Hacks, like in years before, is likely to be among the top nominees at the 2025 Emmy Awards. Because yes, the nominations for the annual award show are officially here, with the first two categories announced on CBS Mornings July 15. The rest of the nominations were shared during the award show’s official livestream later in the day, hosted by Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song.

Leading the pack for Outstanding Drama Series are the already highly-nominated Severance (taking home the most total nominations with 27), The White Lotus and Slow Horses, while newcomer The Pitt earned a spot on the list as did season two of Andor.

Similarly, Best Comedy Series is dominated by returners Hacks, The Bear and Abbott Elementary and Shrinking, while Apple TV+’s first season of The Studio earned a nomination.

Meanwhile, Noah Wyle’s return as an onscreen emergency medicine doctor—this time heading The Pitt’s ER department—earned a nomination for Best Actor in a drama series, alongside the likes of Adam Scott (Severance), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) and Sterling K. Brown (Paradise).

On the actress side, Bella Ramsey earned a second nod for their role as Ellie in The Last of Us, with Kathy Bates (Matlock), Keri Russell (The Diplomat), Britt Lower (Severance) and Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters) joining them in the category.

The cast of The White Lotus earned many a spot in the best supporting actor and actress categories, with nods for Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Sam Rockwell, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Natasha Rothwell and Aimee Lou Wood.

Meanwhile, on the comedy side, The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, Only Murders in the Building’s Martin Short, Shrinking’s Jason Segel, Hacks’ Jean Smart and Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson earned yet another nomination for Outstanding Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series.

The Studio, much like The Pitt, had an impressing showing for a new series, with nods for actors Kathryn Hahn, Catherine O’Hara, Seth Rogan and Ike Barinholtz.

Nominees will need to wait September 14 to see whether they will walk away a winner. In the meantime, read to see the list in full.
