How Elton John Transformed His Kneecaps Into Jewelry After Surgery

Elton John certainly felt the love as he rang in 2026 with his family.

The “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” singer shared a look inside the lavish New Year’s Eve celebration hosted by Donatella Versace and Edward Enninful, which he attended with husband David Furnish and their two sons Zachary, 15, and Elijah, 12.

In the rare pic of their sons shared on Instagram Jan. 2, Elton and David—who tied the knot in 2014—posed alongside the former Versace creative director and their kids who coordinated with their fathers in black suits. Showcasing their individual style, Elijah wrote a tie for a classic ensemble while Zachary opted against a tie for a more relaxed look.

Alongside the carousel of pictures from the star-studded event, Elton wrote, “Thank you @donatella_versace and @edward_enninful for hosting us for a fabulous New Years Eve party! A perfect way to see in 2026.”

David shared the same family photo on his respective Instagram alongside a message from their family that read, “All the F-J’s want to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!”

While Elton, 78, and David, 63, have opted to keep their sons largely out of the public eye, the Grammy winner offered rare insight to his life at home with the boys and shared how they were the inspiration for his retirement in 2024.

"For me personally, I've had an amazing life, great career,” the “Rocket Man” singer told Andy Cohen in November 2024. “Incredible achievements, music, blah, blah, blah, but I would say that our sons, and David, are the most important things to me.”

He continued, "[That’s] why I came off the road, to be able to spend the latter part of my life being there for them."

For David, the step back from their careers means he and Elton won’t miss out on their son’s milestone moments.

"We've got our sons,” he told Entertainment Tonight in June 2024. "They're getting into their teenage years now. We don't want to miss anything. We want to be present for that. It's sort of a key decade in a child's life."

"He's been doing it for like 60 years," the filmmaker added. "So it's nice to have that time to spend at home with family."
