Do as she says, not as she purchases. [eh?]
Ellen DeGeneres was caught shopping for another Montecito mansion Friday despite publicly calling for a nationwide buying shutdown to protest ICE.
The comedian and apparent hypocrite toured the $35 million beachfront digs with a realtor the very day she was supposed to be participating in the “no work, no school, no shopping” movement.
DeGeneres was seen in photographs sporting a white T-shirt and blue jeans as she perused the sprawling property, and sipped from a Fiji water bottle as she checked out a room covered in butterfly decals.
Described as an “extraordinarily luxe and laid back,” the impressive five-bedroom mansion boasts a tennis court, a guest house and 77 feet of beach front.
An intelligent design ensures that dramatic ocean views are seen from nearly every room of the residence, all of which open to outdoor spaces,” a Zillow listing states.
DeGeneres apparently had her wife, Portia de Rossi, in tow for the visit, and the couple — along with their new pup Jinx — frolicked on the beach after touring the property.

She also checked out a more modest $17 million home in the wealthy enclave Friday.
While it’s not clear whether DeGeneres handed over any cash on Friday, her window shopping was in violation of the “Ice Out” protests she preached that her millions of followers join.
The former talk show host shared a flyer calling for the “nationwide shutdown” on her Instagram grid on Wednesday.
“Minnesotans need our help. Let’s show them they’re not in this alone,” DeGeneres said in the caption.
DeGeneres has been publicly against the immigration agency in recent months, and has repeatedly aligned herself with protesters.
Last week, the comedian raved about how “proud” she was of anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis, while dubbing the Midwestern city the “happiest in America.”

“I just wanted to say I am so sorry for what is happening in Minneapolis and our country, really, but specifically Minneapolis right now,” DeGeneres said in a video posted to Instagram.
“So my thoughts and my prayers are going out to everyone. And I’m proud of everyone who’s protesting peacefully, and I am sorry for anyone who has been hurt just for protesting, for doing what you should be doing.”
If DeGeneres buys the property, it would be the second Montecito home she would have snatched up in months — indicating that her short-lived plan to ditch the country under the Trump administration might be coming to an end.
The celebrity couple closed in on a $27.4 million estate in the extremely wealthy community in November in an off-market deal.
Last year, they relocated to the Cotswolds in the English countryside, where they initially planned to spend only part of the year.
