Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding is reportedly coming up soon, and Ed Kelce is definitely ready for it.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s father spoke to FOX 29 Philly on Wednesday (June 24) while volunteering for the Team 62 Fundraiser hosted by the Eagles Autism Foundation and eldest son Jason Kelce in Sea Isle City, N.J. When asked how he was feeling about his younger son’s upcoming nuptials, Ed said warmly, “I am super excited.”
“She is a sweetheart,” he continued of Swift, whom he then compared to his first daughter-in-law, Kylie Kelce. “Truly the girl next door, just like Kylie.”
Ed’s excitement echoes that of fans all over the world as Fourth of July weekend — the reported timing of Swift and Travis’ wedding — draws nearer. There has also been speculation on the location of the ceremony and/or reception, with some outlets suggesting that it will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
In the meantime, both Kelce brothers have been busy with their respective philanthropic endeavors. While Jason was in Jersey raising money for autism research, Travis was in Nashville hosting his annual three-day Tight End University summit, which unites the NFL’s tight ends while raising money for charity. On the second day, Swift made a surprise cameo during the Tight Ends & Friends concert, singing “Love Story” with Lainey Wilson, who was the 2026 showcase’s featured performer.
“They have made a point of giving back to the community,” Ed said of his boys to FOX 29 Philly. “They do a lot, and they should do a lot. They know that. They don’t think that’s a chore so much as a responsibility they accept.”
