Eagles to host Chicago Bears on Black Friday, per NFL schedule leak

The Philadelphia Eagles are in a unique spot entering the NFL’s schedule release week. Not only are they the reigning Super Bowl champions, but they have a brutal slate of home and away opponents to make them prime candidates for premiere TV spots.

Per a series of schedule leaks on Monday, count Amazon Prime as one of them.

The Eagles will reportedly host the Chicago Bears in Week 13 on Black Friday, with the Nov. 28 kickoff set for 3 p.m. EST. While yet to be confirmed by the NFL, it’s Philly’s third known matchup, joining the league’s Week 1 Thursday Night kick-off event against the Dallas Cowboys Sept. 4, and a Week 16 road game with the Washington Commanders during what will be a Saturday doubleheader the weekend before Christmas.

Some felt rising young quarterback Caleb Williams, first-year head coach Ben Johnson and the Bears could be a sleeper to play Philly in Week 1, but that idea was scratched with the NFL’s announcement of Eagles-Cowboys on Monday morning. The Eagles last played Chicago in Dec. of 2022, a 25-20 win in bone-chilling conditions at Soldier Field.

This year’s Eagles-Bears game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field, and will be the only NFL game played on Black Friday. The event will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Philly now has six home games for 2025 still to be announced, including: Commanders, Giants, Lions, Broncos, Raiders and Rams.
