The 2024 Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will forever be known for blocking out the noise and rallying around a clever catch-phrase from quarterback Jalen Hurts: “Keep the main thing, the main thing.”
Despite an ugly 2-2 start to the regular season, a viral spat between coach Nick Sirianni and an Eagles fan inside his own stadium, and an alleged rift between Hurts and No. 1 wide receiver A.J. Brown, the 2024 Eagles kept the main thing the main thing — and the result was their second Super Bowl title in eight years.
In a sit-down with the local media on Tuesday, Hurts seemed to drop a fresh catch-phase for the upcoming 2025 season.
It’s been a busy year for Hurts, who got married to longtime girlfriend Bry Burrows, attended the Met Gala and was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025. He’s also been spending time with Michael Jordan as one of the Jordan Brand’s booming ambassadors.
“As competitive as he is, it'd be unwise to not seek knowledge from him and lean on him,” Hurts said of Jordan. “Being able to decode, detect and correct, and refine myself to be the best I can be when needed."
Decode, detect and correct. Hurts used that phrase multiple times throughout his media session, hammering home the necessity to never be satisfied and continue striving to get better and earn more.

We’ll see if Hurts’ latest poetic phrase sticks like the last one. Brown also sat down with reporters on Tuesday, and he dropped a “keep the main thing the main thing” when asked about his plans to compete in the 2028 Summer Olympics.
The Eagles were speaking ahead of their annual voluntary OTA practice sessions, which are slated for next week.
