After a crushing Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Philadelphia Eagles traded away Cam Jurgens and saw Lane Johnson retire. But that's hardly all the adversity this team is facing heading into Week 5.
Traveling overseas to London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Eagles got some bad, but not unexpected, news on a pair of key offensive weapons.
John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports that Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith are both out for this weekend's matchup. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense are down their top two playmakers this week.
Eagles get bad news as Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith are ruled out for Week 5
"Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Drew Kendall are OUT for Sunday," Clark reported Friday afternoon.
Obviously, the Barkley and Smith news takes priority for the Eagles, as that's their RB1 and WR1 meant to carry this offense. Both being out is a massive blow.
But Drew Kendall being ruled out for Week 5 is also a worrying sign for the offense. He was playing well at center in relief of Jurgens, but now he's out, and Jake Majors is poised to take over.

Hurts will be trying to function against a tough Jaguars defense without his best running back, his second-best running back in Tank Bigsby, and the majority of his starting offensive line.
This news is not a surprise, as Barkley and Smith were always trending towards missing this weekend's matchup.
But the report from Clark confirming this news is still a tough pill to swallow, as Philadelphia is now without a few very important players this week.
It'll be a tough task to win this week for the Eagles, as the offense will be without Lane Johnson, Cam Jurgens, Landon Dickerson, Tank Bigsby, and now also Drew Kendall, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley.
