The Atlanta Dream on Sunday continued to motor through the WNBA postseason by securing another double-digit win in Game 1 of the semifinal round.

After trailing at halftime, the Dream dominated the New York Liberty in the second half to claim Game 1 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The 92-82 victory puts the Dream 1-0 up in the best-of-five series and pushes Atlanta to within two wins of a first WNBA Finals berth in 13 years.

Reese accrued four steals and three blocks, tying the Dream's franchise record for "stocks" in a playoff game. It marked the eighth time this season when Reese has recorded at least five stocks in a game, punctuating her dominance for the league's No.2 unit during the regular season.

In addition, Reese posted a 92 defensive rating on Sunday, the lowest of any player on either team.

For the Dream to win Game 1 with All-Star Allisha Gray out injured feels significant. Atlanta found enough scoring as Jordin Canada (25 points) and DeWanna Bonner (23) combined for 48 points, and the Reese-led defense did the rest against Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and the Liberty.

Whether the Dream can repeat that formula in Game 2 on Wednesday remains to be seen. But we know the defensive intensity that Reese spearheads certainly is sustainable.
