It's getting late in the game for Stephen Curry to make his comeback from a knee injury that has sidelined him since the end of January.
Curry is expected to miss his 26th consecutive game when the Golden State Warriors host the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Without Curry, Golden State (36-39) has dropped all the way to the 10-seed in the Western Conference, putting the Warriors at a disadvantage for the Play-In Tournament next month.

Few expect the Warriors to make serious noise in the postseason as their late-2010s dynasty appears closer to "finished" than ever before. But Draymond Green isn't throwing in on the towel on his team's season -- or Curry's return from runner's knee, the reason for the pain and swelling that have kept him sidelined.
"I don’t think Steph is getting shut down for the season," Green said Tuesday on "The Draymond Green Show." "I do know that Steph is doing all that he can to get back. I do know that he’s progressing well on the court. And I do know that he’s very, very eager to get back out there."

Curry has been limited to 39 games this season, but he is still the Warriors' leading scorer at 27.2 points per game.
The 38-year-old was named an All-Star for the 12th time in his decorated career earlier this spring, and he remains absolutely central to anything the Warriors reasonably hope to achieve this season and next.
Curry is progressing, according to Green, and his return could provide a late-season spark for a Warriors team that already lost Jimmy Butler to a torn ACL in January.
"Steph wants to play," Green said. "And he’s going to do all that he can, he’s been doing all that he can and things are really looking up.”
