US Central Command released a video of strikes on two empty Iranian tankers attempting to break past the American blockade on Tehran's ports. In it, a US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet "disabled both tankers after firing precision munitions into their smokestacks," stopping the vessels from continuing to Iran, CENTCOM said in a post to X. A third ship was stopped was stopped by when an F/A Super Hornet "disabled the unladen oil tanker's rudder by firing several rounds from a 20mm cannon gun," the combatant command said.
