Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills secured a 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 16 on Sunday. However, Bills quarterback Allen struggled for most of the game, completing 12 of 19 passes for 130 yards, while adding 17 yards on seven carries.

Following Allen's rather underwhelming performance against the Browns, analyst Emmanuel Acho has ruled out the Bills QB from the MVP race.

"It's Drake Maye and it's Matthew Stafford, period," Acho said on the "Speakeasy" show on Sunday. "Then we can talk about Josh. Here is why. The reason we wanna put Allen in the MVP conversation isn't because of gaudy statistics, it's because of who he's doing it with.

"I will say the same thing about (Patriots QB) Drake Maye. (Kayon) Boutte, Kyle Williams, a rookie, an older Stefon Diggs, TreVeyon Henderson, who got hurt this year, and Rhamondre Stevenson, who's a career backup. Who is he doing it with? ... Drake Maye is doing it with less."

Maye has recorded 3,947 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, eight interceptions and four rushing TDs this season. He has led the Patriots to the top of the AFC East with a 12-3 record.

Allen won the MVP award for last season. The Bills QB might have to put in some big performances in his team's final two regular-season games if he wants to retain the prestigious crown.

Acho is one of the Associated Press (AP) voters, and will have a say in who wins the MVP award this season.
