Drake Maye accomplishes feat Tom Brady couldn't after Patriots beat Broncos

The New England Patriots are going to the Super Bowl after a victory over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.

And, in the process, quarterback Drake Maye did something Tom Brady couldn't.

That feat is winning a playoff game in Denver, something Brady failed to do three times during his career in New England.

It wasn't pretty for Maye, who completed just 10-of-21 passes for 86 yards while also rushing for 65 yards and one touchdown, but weather played a huge factor in that showing.

Thankfully, the Broncos also had to overcome those same conditions and the Patriots did just a slightly better job doing so.

The Patriots' trip to the Super Bowl only adds to the growing legend of Maye, who had an MVP-caliber season in his second year in the NFL.

Now, he'll look to start making ground on Brady's six Super Bowls with the franchise when the Pats take on the winner of the NFC Championship Game in two weeks.
