Celebrity couples have become all the rage in recent years. More than a handful have popped up in the world of sports, too.
From Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, athletes have seen their love lives attract just as much limelight as their sporting exploits, if not more.
To borrow a line from Stevie Wonder, love is need of love to day. The tabloids need it, too. Rest assure their desires are being satiated by the high-profile romances that have come to shape the sports landscape as of late.
One of the latest additions to the collection of athlete/entertainer partnerships is the budding romance between Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs and famed rapper Cardi B. The two were rumored to be involved with one another months before they confirmed their status as lovers. With a child on the way, their partnership has become all the more notable.
With that, here's a look at Diggs and Cardi's relationship timeline.

Stefon Diggs-Cardi B relationship timeline
October 2024: Diggs and Cardi B's relationship began with a whimper. Fans allegedly saw the then-Texans wideout and platinum-selling artist galavanting in public.
While tangible evidence of the interaction remains elusive, Cardi did address the rumors during a live stream.
"The internet is insane," Cardi said.
December 2024: Cardi's turbulent split with Offset took hold of the news cycle throughout the latter half of 2024. Cardi addressed her breakup with the Atlanta-based MC in a since-deleted social media exchange between her and Offset. She confirmed that she was dating in the posts.

“Trying to be fake nice after you did what you wanted from the beginning trying to push a narrative to these people," Cardi wrote. "Congratulations!! F— off. Sign the papers TODAY.”
February 2025: Diggs and Cardi made their official public debut during a Valentine's Day party in Miami, per TMZ.
April 2025: Diggs and Cardi were spotted dancing intimately with one another during Coachella. A fan presumed that Offset would be upset with the image in the comment sections of an Instagram post about the interaction. Instead, Offset wished Diggs and Cardi well.

"I'm happy for her !!" Offset responded.
Two weeks later, while speaking on X spaces, Cardi confirmed that she had a new man. She didn't name Diggs specifically, though.
May 2025: Diggs and Cardi fanned the flames of their alleged romance by popping out at a Met Gala after-party together. The alleged couple attended the Gala separately. But Just Jared reported that they accompanied one another to an afterparty away from the cameras.

Days later, Diggs and Cardi took their alleged relationship to the next level. The pair cozied up with one another during the Knicks' Game 2 clash vs. the Celtics. New York won the game, 91-90, while Diggs and Cardi were seen holding hands and cuddling.
June 2025: After months of rumors and deliberation, Cardi and Diggs confirmed their relationship via a steamy post on Instagram that saw the New York-based rapper snuggle with her beau before grinding up against him.

Sept. 2025: While promoting her sophomore album, "Am I the Drama", on CBS news, Cardi confirmed that she was pregnant with her first child with Diggs.
“I’m excited,”Cardi said. "I'm happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”

“I heard about it," Diggs said with a smile.
When asked if there were celebrations on the horizon, he offered a similarly cryptic response.
"We'll see," Diggs said.

How long have Stefon Diggs and Cardi B been together?
Diggs and Cardi B first emerged as a couple in Oct. 2024. Fans allegedly spotted the duo out in public, prompting Cardi to respond to whispers of their romance on Instagram Live.
“The internet is insane, all these rumors are so f— crazy, that’s why I don’t wanna address it cause I feel like this s— funny,” Cardi said.

How many kids does Stefon Diggs have?
Stefon Diggs has three children that have been made public. His first child was a daughter named Nova who was born in 2016. Diggs also shares daughter Charliee Harper with Aileen Lopera, a model. According to a People.com article, Diggs went through a paternity test to confirm he was the father.
And Diggs and Cardi B welcomed their first child together in November 2025. Cardi B was already a mother of three children from her previous relationship with rapper Offset. This was her fourth child.
How many kids does Cardi B have?
Cardi has four children thus far. Her two daughters Kulture Kiari Cephus (born July 10, 2018) and Blossom Cephus (born Sept. 7, 2024) and oldest son Wave Set Cephus (born Sept. 4, 2021) are from her relationship with Offset. Cardi's son with Diggs was her fourth child in total.
Are Offset and Cardi B still married?
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset in July 2024. They have not formally divorced as of January 2026, although proceedings are still underway.
