The birth of a child is supposed to be one of the most meaningful days in the lives of the parents.
For Lakers star Luka Doncic, the birth of his second daughter, Olivia, in December proved memorable — but for the wrong reason.

According to an ESPN report, police were called to Kranj Maternity Hospital in Slovenia on December 6, 2025 after a reported disagreement between Doncic and his then-fiancee Anamaria Goltes following the birth of Olivia.
Doncic was given permission by the Lakers to return to Slovenia so he could be present for the birth of Olivia, but the happiness quickly faded when a reported argument broke out between Doncic and Goltes. Doncic expressed his desire to bring Gabriela, Doncic and Goltes first daughter, back to the United States when he returned to the team.
An argument followed the discourse, and police were then called. It’s reported that Doncic left the hospital peacefully before being interviewed by police at hie home. Goltes was interviewed by police at the hospital.
ESPN wrote in its story, “According to the police report, reviewed by ESPN, officers “did not detect any elements of a criminal offense or misdemeanor” perpetrated by Doncic.”
Anamaria Goltes, Luka Doncic’s ex-fiancee, requested child support and attorney’s fees from the Lakers star this week, according to new court filings. Instagram/@ anamariagoltesTMZ reported Tuesday that Goltes had a petition seeking child support and attorney fees from the Lakers star, who signed a three-year, $165 million contract extension with the organization in August.
“I love my daughters more than anything and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season, but that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement,” Doncic said in a statement to the California Post. “Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can.”
