Joe Budden podcast's host Antwan Marby, also known as Ish, did not hold back his punches against Kawhi Leonard during a comparison between the Clippers star and Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

On Sunday's episode of the "Joe Budden Podcast," Marc Lamont Hill, one of the co-hosts, brought up a statement made by Leonard in the past. Hill said that the Clippers star had once compared himself to being on the same level as Kobe Bryant after he led the Toronto Raptors to a championship in 2019.

However, Ish was not a big fan of Leonard's comment. He harshly lashed back at the Clippers star.

"You don't say no dumb sh** like that in a graveyard. it don't matter where you say it or who you say it to," he said.

Later, the crew agreed that Kawhi Leonard was not on the same level as the Lakers legend. Hill called the Clippers star one of the best two-way players ever and included him in his top 10 small forwards list of all-time, but mentioned that LeBron James topped the list with Kevin Durant and Larry Bird following him.

Fred VanVleet reveals Kawhi Leonard's bold Kobe Bryant statement post 2019 championship run

The Joe Budden podcast crew discussed Kawhi Leonard's statement on Kobe Bryant following the revelation from Fred VanVleet. On Wednesday's episode of VanVleet's "Unguarded" podcast, the Rockets guard said that Kawhi Leonard had called himself better than Kobe Bryant after the Raptors' 2019 championship run. "Kawhi Leonard changed my view on a lot of sh*t, but it was one thing in particular that I overheard and he didn't say it to me," VanVleet said. "I just overheard it and it was a conversation that was being had and the sentiment of the conversation because I ain't going to quote nobody, but the sentiment of the conversation was when we won the championship in 2019 about all that sh*t he’s like ‘I’m better than Kobe Bryant’."

Kevin Durant was in that episode as a guest. The Rockets forward had a stale reaction on his face when he heard about Leonard's bold words from his teammate.

"It's not a bad thing to feel that way. But I don't like it like use dudes as example and say like, 'Oh, since I did this, I'm better than this.' But I get that mindset," Durant said.

Leonard is currently hustling to turn around the Clippers' (7-21) season, who are in 13th place in the West.
