Dolphins predicted to cut ties with Tyreek Hill for $31 million EDGE rusher in wild 3-team trade

The Miami Dolphins are still trying to figure out exactly what to do with their roster, and changes are coming—because if they don’t make moves soon, their lack of cap space next year will become a serious problem. However, despite that financial pressure, the potential trade of Jalen Ramsey isn’t being driven by money.

“The broken relationship between Jalen Ramsey and McDaniel is why he’s on the trade block,” said an anonymous scout. “No one has been able to explain what happened, but I was told this actually has nothing to do with money. It’s a vote of no confidence in McDaniel. If the Ramsey trade goes down, this is a huge talent drain in the secondary.”

If Tyreek Hill has his way, though, he’ll do everything he can to keep Ramsey in a Dolphins jersey this season.

“I'm getting Ramsey back in a Dolphins jersey, I don't care what they say," Hill said. “He's a dog. He's one of the best corners in the league, man. Great leader. Great teammate too, though. That's what he doesn't get a lot of credit for, man."

Hill himself has already been floated in trade talks this offseason. Still, he appears to have reconnected with the Dolphins and is looking to prove he’s fully bought in. But Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski proposed a bold three-team trade that includes Hill being moved.

“Dolphins Get: Edge Kayvon Thibodeaux. Cardinals Get: WR Tyreek Hill. Giants Get: OT Jonah Williams,” Sobleski wrote.

“At 31 years old with massive salary-cap charges over the next two seasons, not many teams should be in the market for Hill. The Arizona Cardinals currently have the fifth-most salary-cap space still remaining, while a deal could include reworked contracts for the wide receiver in future years, particularly while Marvin Harrison Jr. operates under his rookie deal,” Sobleski added.

The Cardinals have reportedly been searching for a veteran presence to mentor Harrison, and Hill would certainly fit that mold. As for the Dolphins, acquiring Thibodeaux would give them a dominant force on the defensive line. And if things don’t work out, his contract situation provides some flexibility moving forward.
