The Miami Dolphins are looking to rebuild their offense this offseason, and they've begun to do so in a major way already.
Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle are all gone. De'Von Achane is still under contract and shouldn't be going anywhere. But with the addition of Mallik Willis as the new quarterback, the Dolphins need to find a new wide receiver or two.
With the Dolphins needing to upgrade the WR room, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox is linking Miami to former Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots WR Stefon Diggs after a 1,000-yard season with Drake Maye in 2025.
Dolphins linked to Stefon Diggs in free agency
"Diggs would be a sensible target for a team like Miami, which no longer has a No. 1 receiver to pair with new quarterback Malik Willis," Knox writes.
Diggs wouldn't be the worst option for the Dolphins, even though he might not be as appealing a target. Miami needs to improve its wide receiver room in a big way. After the Waddle trade, the Dolphins' depth chart is very bleak.
With no Waddle or Hill, the Dolphins' depth chart isn't great. Jalen Tolbert, Malik Washington, Tutu Atwell, Tahj Washington, Theo Wease Jr., and Terrace Marshall round out the main receivers for Miami.

That room isn't close to being good enough for Willis in 2026. While the Dolphins have to be careful about their spending, someone like Diggs on a rental contract wouldn't be the worst option for a year.
The 32-year-old wide receiver and former All-Pro had a 1,013-yard season for the Patriots last season. And in the playoffs, he caught 14 of 20 targets for 110 yards and one touchdown as the Patriots made the Super Bowl.
In his NFL career, Diggs has 11,504 receiving yards and 74 touchdowns since his 2015 NFL debut.
While he's bounced around the league recently, playing for the Bills in 2023, the Houston Texans in 2024, and the Patriots in 2025 before being cut this offseason, he's the exact kind of player the Dolphins could use to give Willis a veteran target this year.
