The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the most talent-rich teams in all of Major League Baseball. It's not just the superstars like Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto either.
They have a ton of other top-tier talents like Andy Pages, Max Muncy, and others who can play the role of a hero any given day. It's a great roster, but there's room to get even better.
Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report is predicting that the Dodgers will, much to the agony of Boston Red Sox fans, call up a top outfield prospect in James Tibbs III amid his hot start with a 1.337 OPS to begin the minor league season in 2026.
Dodgers predicted to call up James Tibbs III for MLB debut
"His prospect stock dipped during a lackluster debut and a good-not-great 2025 campaign, but he has come out swinging arguably the hottest bat in minor league baseball," Reuter writes. "The Dodgers don't have a clear path to regular at-bats, but they could still play the hot hand and reward him with a call-up and a few spot starts."
Los Angeles is 10-3 and has one of the best rosters in all of Major League Baseball. Being able to call up Tibbs would fit the phrase "the rich get richer" perfectly.
Teoscar Hernandez, Andy Pages, and Kyle Tucker make up the current outfield. All three are playing well, leaving little room for Tibbs. But, he could become an April call-up if one of those outfielders were to get hurt, or if they were to struggle.

Finding a way to get Tibbs, who has a 1.337 OPS and seven home runs already this season, into the Major League lineup would not be a bad idea.
The 23-year-old was acquired in the Dustin May trade with the Red Sox, who got him from trading Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants.
This call-up would be a very fun one for the Dodgers, but for the Red Sox, it would be a brutal look to see Tibbs make his mark after they gave up on him last season at the trade deadline.
