The Los Angeles Dodgers are officially set to take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series. Game one is Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
Both teams have announced their official World Series roster, and for the Dodgers, the two notable omissions are Alex Vesia and Tanner Scott. Scott's status was up in the air after a procedure to remove an abscess. Vesia became a long shot to make the roster just yesterday after the news of him dealing with a deep personal matter.
Dodgers official World Series roster
Here is a full breakdown of the Dodgers' World Series roster. by position group:
Pitchers (12): Anthony Banda, Jack Dreyer, Tyler Glasnow, Edgardo Henriquez, Clayton Kershaw, Will Klein, Roki Sasaki, Emmet Sheehan, Blake Snell, Blake Treinen, Justin Wrobleski, Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
That's five southpaws and seven right-handers. The Blue Jays have more right-handed power bats than lefties, so it's no surprise the Dodgers are opting for more righty pitchers.
DH/Pitcher: Shohei Ohtani.
Catchers (2): Ben Rordvedt, Will Smith.
Infielders (4): Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Miguel Rojas
Outfielders (4): Alex Call, Justin Dean, Teoscar Hernandez, Andy Pages
Utility (3): Tommy Edman, Kiké Hernandez, Hyeseong Kim.
And that's it. For the Blue Jays, their roster looks similar to the past couple of series they've played in; however, shortstop Bo Bichette is making his 2025 playoff debut as a new addition to the roster.
