The Los Angeles Dodgers have been hit with some unfortunate injuries to their pitching staff. However, it's their offense that they could look to solidify their offense near the trade deadline.
Max Muncy is hitting below .200 and has been the team's primary third baseman. If the Dodgers want to repeat as World Series champions, they will have to get more production in the infield. While the Dodgers could simply acquire a third baseman, FanSided's Zach Pressnell suggested the team could target Bo Bichette, leading to an infield shuffle, to get more production from third base.
Bichette will be a free agent after the season. Although he has publicly stated that his goal is to keep playing alongside Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Blue Jays simply may not be able to afford him.
Bichette signed a three-year, $33 million deal in 2023. He is a two-time All-Star and has led the American League in hits twice. He is due for a big payday. Currently, he ranks 16th in terms of total value and average annual value among shortstops.
The Dodgers could trade for Bichette, who is hitting .293, and play him at shortstop. That would slide Mookie Betts back to second base and Tommy Edman to third base. Edman has made most of his starts at second base, but has 59 starts and 94 appearances in the hot corner.

Bichette would be a huge offensive upgrade for the Dodgers. They would then likely have to find a spot in the outfield for Hyeseong Kim, who signed with the Dodgers out of Korea this winter and is playing great in Triple-A.
