Dodgers already being mentioned as most likely landing spot for All-Star

Many are starting to believe that the Los Angeles Dodgers will go out and make another move for a starter over the next few weeks to months before the trade deadline.

The Dodgers haven't been relatively healthy to start the season, but are still the best team in the National League by a rather wide margin, at least when it comes to postseason time.

The Dodgers are also loaded with some high-name prospects who can get them multiple big league arms at the deadline, even potential ace-caliber starters. One of those guys possibly available will be Joe Ryan of the Minnesota Twins, who some believe is more likely to be traded than Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers at this point.

“The Los Angeles Dodgers don't really need any additions. They will be just fine with the roster as is as the club starts to get healthier. If the Dodgers make a splash, it wouldn't be a shock to see them go out and add another starter simply to have even more depth. Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers would be a fun name to throw out for Los Angeles, but that just doesn't seem likely at all. It's much more likely the Minnesota Twins flip Ryan. He has a 3.72 ERA and would give the Dodgers more ammo,” Patrick McAvoy of SI wrote.

There's just no counting out the Dodgers, which is what makes the trade deadline in a few months so scary. If Andrew Friedman believes he needs something at the end of July, he's absolutely going out there to make a move.

Ryan is one of those guys they should absolutely go out and trade for if he's available. The Dodgers are already the best team in the league, but winning back-to-back-to-back World Series titles is very difficult and requires blockbuster moves like these.
