"Didn't have any genitals," "Idiot" - Bret Hart lashes out at WWE Hall of Famer

Bret Hart has lashed out at a WWE Hall of Famer. The Hitman had a decorated career in WWE before moving to WCW in a big-money move in 1997. However, his WCW run didn't turn out to be what the fans hoped for.

The promotion struggled to gain momentum after the nWo storyline ran its course. Poor creative decisions and mishandling of certain stars eventually proved to be disastrous for them. Bret Hart was one of the names whose booking in the company was not satisfactory.

In an interview with Inside The Ropes, The Hitman said his WCW stint was a missed opportunity. He said he had come in with a lot of momentum, having beaten the likes of The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin in WWE, but WCW failed to capitalize. He said they could have done great business with him facing Hollywood Hogan but didn't go ahead with it.

He then questioned Eric Bischoff's role in the situation, saying he didn't understand how to utilize someone like him.

"I remember thinking, 'What kind of an idiot would pay me all the money that they're paying me to bring me all the way in and then leave me off the card when I had so much momentum?' At that time, Steve Austin was going through the roof in WWF. And it’s like, 'I’m the guy that beat him. Remember me? Like I'm the guy that beat Steve Austin, their top guy right now. Why are you not doing anything with me?'" he said.

Hart raised questions over Bischoff's authority, saying he was overpowered by Hogan, who was calling the shots. He then took a shot at the WWE Hall of Famer, who also served as the RAW GM.

"That was the insanity of WCW. Eric Bischoff actually didn’t have any genitals, and Hulk Hogan was calling all the shots. For whatever reason, he just made sure they didn’t do anything with me," he added.

Bret Hart fired shots at Hulk Hogan

Bret Hart has made no secret of his disdain for the late Hulk Hogan. The Hitman has accused him of not helping him out when WWE was preparing him for a push.

In an interview on the Johnny I Pro Show, Hart said Hogan and Jake Roberts were selfish in their approach and didn't help new talent. He called both of them two of the biggest pieces of "sh*t in wrestling.

Bret Hart said compared to them, Roddy Piper was someone who would willingly elevate the younger stars.
