Broadcaster Piers Morgan and conservative podcaster Candace Owens recently clashed over Owens' conspiracy theories postulating that Brigitte Macron, the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, was born male. For the uninitiated, Owens and the Macrons are currently engaged in a legal battle after the French President and his wife sued the podcaster for defamation in July 2025 for spreading "outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions" about Brigitte.
Candace Owens joined Piers Morgan for a conversation on his show Piers Morgan Uncensored, which premiered on YouTube on December 18, 2025. In the episode, Morgan questioned Owens about her conspiracy theories concerning Brigitte Macron and likened her claims to radio show host Alex Jones' theories about the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, which killed 20 children and six teachers.
For context, Jones was sued for defamation after peddling the conspiracy theory that the mass shooting was a hoax staged by crisis actors. In 2022, he was found liable for defamation and infliction of emotional distress and was ordered to pay $1.4 billion to the victims' families.
Piers Morgan further added that Alex Jones was "weaponizing deliberate lies for money." He also suggested that Owens was using a similar tactic in her conspiracy theories against Brigitte, to which Owens interjected and claimed that Brigitte had male genitalia, saying:
“Brigitte Macron has a p*nis. I really want you to know that, Piers, because it’s important.”Morgan immediately dismissed Owens' claims, pointing out that Brigitte Macron has three children. Owens then claimed that the children could have been adopted, adding:
“Did she get it removed?… You can have adoptive children. Brigitte Macron was born a dude named Jean-Michel Trogneux. And I want you to know that. I want you to know that Brigitte Macron...probably pees standing up."Piers Morgan also suggested that Owens would lose the court case against the Macrons. In their defamation lawsuit, the Macrons alleged that Candace Owens "disregarded all credible evidence disproving her claim in favor of platforming known conspiracy theorists and proven defamers."
This is not the first time Piers Morgan has suggested that Candace Owens was pushing conspiracy theories about Brigitte Macron for money. He addressed the theory on his show last week while in conversation with Tim Pool, claiming that Owens "completely concocted this whole narrative" solely for "attention, clicks, and money."
“I had a big set two with her [Owens] about the Brigitte Macron thing, where I genuinely felt that she just completely concocted this whole narrative that Brigitte Macron was a man and then built a whole kind of conspiracy theory story around it and was doing it purely for attention, clicks, and money. And it ended up with us having a $300,000 bet to charity. My bet being that Bridget Macron, who mothered three children, is a woman," he said.Piers Morgan claimed that Candace Owens was profiting from her theories about Charlie Kirk's assassination
Elsewhere in his recent conversation with Candace Owens, Piers Morgan claimed that Owens' multiple conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk's assassination were financially profitable for her. For the uninitiated, Owens has pushed several conspiracy theories in the aftermath of Kirk's assassination on September 10, including allegations that the leadership of his non-profit organization, Turning Point USA, "betrayed" him.
I received information last night that put the final pieces together for me. I now can say with full confidence that I believe Charlie Kirk was betrayed by the leadership of Turning Point USA and some of the very people who eulogized him on stage. Yes I will be naming names and providing evidence for my claims. And I am making a personal plea to every well-meaning person who donated to this Godforsaken organization to request a refund. You were lied to. And leadership knew.
Piers Morgan implied that Candace Owens' theories about Kirk's death on her podcast were drawing "millions and millions of people" and allegedly making her "very wealthy." Owens then asked Morgan to explain the basis for his claim, resulting in him citing Alex Jones as a reference and saying that the radio host "made himself extremely rich" by "spewing deliberate lies" about the Sandy Hook shooting.
Candace Owens denied Morgan's claim that she was using Kirk's death for profit, adding that she did not sign with a new advertiser, include more ad reads, or sign a book deal. Morgan then responded that her videos about Kirk's murder were gaining more views on YouTube and resulting in more money for her, to which Owens replied that her podcast was "already a top-10 podcast globally" before Kirk's death.
"But like, come on. Piers, money on YouTube? Are you kidding me? I was already a top-10 podcast globally before Charlie was assassinated. And if you think that I would want my friend to be assassinated so I could go from being in the top five to being number one, you’re out of your mind, ok? And it’s also, it’s so disrespectful," Owens said.Candace Owens further alleged that the claim that she was making more money was "just not true," continuing:
"The point is that nobody– everyone who is saying that I’m making more money, cannot say how I’m making more money because it’s just not true, ok? So you’re like, “Oh, she got a bump in viewership talking about Charlie,” as did everyone in the world, because it was a public assassination!"Elsewhere in the episode, Candace Owens told Piers Morgan that she can "say confidently" that she knew TPUSA was "engaged in a cover up" of Charlie Kirk's assassination. However, she also admitted that she did not have any "concrete evidence" to back her claim.
