Did Minkah Fitzpatrick get traded? Explaining Dolphins' trade deadline decision

2 hours ago 2

The Miami Dolphins did some dealing before the NFL trade deadline.

But they didn't get rid of all the players involved in rumors.

One guy who was a popular target was Minkah Fitzpatrick, the star safety.

Fitzpatrick came to Miami before the season from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a trade, and it would've been a quick turnaround for him to be traded again.

Did Minkah Fitzpatrick get traded?

No, Minkah Fitzpatrick did not get traded before the NFL's 4 p.m. ET deadline on Tuesday.

He'll be with the Dolphins for the rest of the season.

Fitzpatrick has battled injury a bit lately, but he's mostly been on the field and played like his usual self.

One problem for Miami is that the rest of the defense has been crushed by injuries. No matter what Fitzpatrick does, it really can't be enough.

The Dolphins could have more decisions to make in the offseason, assuming that this season doesn't have a major turnaround.

But for now, Minkah isn't going anywhere.
