Did Duke just suffer the worst loss in NCAA Tournament history?

20 hours ago 3

Duke fans around the world are in utter shock after blowing a 19-point first half lead against UConn. With the loss, this could arguably go down as the worst loss of all time in March Madness history.

Up until this point, 1-seeded teams were 134-0 when leading by at least 15 points at halftime of a March Madness game. That record has been shattered to 134-1 with UConn’s incredible comeback.

Duke completely collapsed in the second half being outscored 44-28 which was capped off by an incredible inbound sequence that led to Braylon Mullins becoming a household name and March Madness hero.

What led to UConn coming away with the win was a Duke inbounds pass that ended up in the hands of Cayden Boozer which he tried to throw down court for a breakaway score which would have put them up by four. Instead, the pass was deflected and ended up in the hands of Mullins who pulled up from the logo and sunk it.
