Former Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has been far from silent in his post-playing career, but his newest social media feud is easily his most bizarre yet.
After giving his thoughts on being invoked by Jerry Jones amid Dallas' contract standoff with Micah Parsons, Bryant found himself beefing with rapper Nicki Minaj.
Minaj, who has a bone to pick with Bryant's Jay Z-affiliated agency, even went so far as to try and arrange a fight between the former Cowboys star and her husband.

Dez Bryant-Nicki Minaj beef, explained
Addressing reports he wanted to negotiate with Parsons directly and leave his agent out of the process, Jones explained to reporters that he had a difficult time working with Jay Z and his agency, Roc Nation, when negotiating a new contract for Bryant in 2015 — a claim the agency says is "comical." That didn't sit well with Bryant, who threatened to "have story time" about the Cowboys owner if he continued.
"JERRY JONES I DONT THINK ITS SMART TO MENTION MY NAME. I KEPT QUIET ABOUT A LOT OF UNFAIR S—," Bryant tweeted.
Bryant never mentioned Minaj, but the rapper has been feuding with Roc Nation and Jay Z in particular, claiming in early July that Jay Z owed her $100-200 million related to a streaming platform. Somehow, she got wind of Bryant's tweets and ended up in defense of Jones.
"How about we play a game?" she tweeted. "Every time you do a 'Jerry Jones' or 'NFL' story time, I'll do a 'story time' of my own."
In another tweet, Minaj labeled Roc Nation's CEO an "alleged racist" and said she had stories to share about the agency and Jay Z.
All my stories will be about ROC NATION, JAYZ & THE ALLEGED RACIST
DESIREE PEREZ, ROC NATION CEO.
I hope you fully understand the rules.

Bryant posted a video asking Minaj to "leave me out of it," but she responded by invoking the former Cowboys star's 2012 arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence against his mother. Bryant responded by calling Minaj's husband a "sex offender," and Minaj then offered Bryant $10 million to fight her husband in a tweet that included more allegations against Jay Z and Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez.
Bryant asked Minaj to "go get that 10 million in cash," which Minaj only responded to by retweeting a vulgar post about the former Pro-Bowler's family.
Few would have pegged Minaj as Jones' most ardent defender, even if unintentionally, but there is no love lost between her and Bryant.

What is Roc Nation?
Roc Nation was founded by rapper Jay Z as an entertainment company and agency in 2008.
Roc Nation Sports, the sports management side of the company, was founded in 2013 and has represented numerous prominent athletes, including Saquon Barkley, LaMelo Ball, CC Sabathia, Kyrie Irving and Robinson Cano.
Jay Z continues to be involved with Roc Nation Sports, though he isn't handling negotiations like he did during Bryant's contract talks a decade ago.
