An unfortunate update has surfaced regarding the return of a popular AEW star who's been absent from the promotion for quite some time.
That star is Nyla Rosa, a.k.a. the Native Beast, who was regarded as one of the biggest stars in the Jacksonville-based company in its early days. The former AEW Women's World Champion was last seen on the promotion's programming back in November 2024. What makes things even more interesting is that there is no explanation for Rose's absence, even though she remains an active presence in the independent circuits. Now, a new report from Fightful has further substantiated claims that AEW has seemingly forgotten about the 43-year-old.
During a recent edition of Fightful Select, wrestling insider Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Nyla Rose's status after Athena recently mentioned her on an ROH episode. Sapp said that even Nyla Rose probably doesn't know why she's been off TV. He also noted that she is not injured and that everyone likes her. Sapp believes Tony Khan has forgotten about their talent, a recurring issue he has called out in the past.
AEW star Nyla Rose recently addressed pregnancy rumors
Nyla Rose's long-standing absence from Tony Khan's promotion has sparked speculation about the star's future in All Elite Wrestling. The wrestling world has also been speculating about the reason the Native Beast is not being used on programming despite being healthy and ready to go. Earlier reports had claimed that the Jacksonville-based promotion lacks creative plans for the star. However, a fan recently drew attention for claiming that her absence is due to pregnancy.

The fan who made their claim in an X post got a response from Rose shortly after. In her reply, the 42-year-old jokingly said that she might as well be after her date last week.
"After my date last week it MIGHT be true🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ I AM late after all…"Check out her post on X below:
Time will tell if fans will ever see Nyla Rose back on All Elite Wrestling programming.
