AEW TV treated fans with a three-hour show on the last Wednesday night. The Dynamite was for two hours, while Collision was for one hour. The Holiday Bash edition was filled with action and a few surprises up its sleeve. The contestants in the Continental Classic left no room for error as the tournament nears its end.

MJF returned to the Jacksonville-based promotion and inserted himself in the world title match at the Worlds End pay-per-view. The last Dynamite ahead of the event will take place this Wednesday. However, just days before AEW ends the great year, bad news may have doomed it.

According to the Wrestling Observer, the December 17 episode of Dynamite drew 511,000 viewers and was rated 0.08 in the 18-49 demographic. Both the viewership and ratings have notably decreased from last week. The ratings are tied to the lowest number in the promotion's history. The previous time AEW received such bad ratings was in October 2025. Also, the third-hour TV block, Collision, drew 333,000 viewers.

Tony Khan addresses AEW's future

While 2023 and 2024 were dull for the company, 2025 has been a good year for the Jacksonville-based promotion. Fans have praised Tony Khan's booking throughout the year.

As this year comes to an end, the President, speaking to TV Insider, revealed that their partnership is locked in for 2 years and will continue for many years to come.

"I think we have a lot of certainty and are very excited. 2025 is the most exciting year yet for AEW, and our partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery was reimagined this year and will continue for years to come. We’re locked in with TNT, TBS, and HBO Max for over two more years. The future is bright for us for years to come," he said.

It remains to be seen what is in store for Tony Khan's promotion in 2026.
