No matter who the Cleveland Browns go with at the quarterback position, there are going to be questions regardless. If the Browns believe that Shedeur Sanders is the guy for whatever reason, as he's much younger and might have more potential than Deshaun Watson at this point, that can be viewed as a fair decision.
If the Browns decide to give Watson the keys to the offense again after returning from his injury, we also can't get too upset about that because of how much money he's making.
While both players will be affected, it still seems like there's a level of respect for each other.
Sanders recently spoke about what it means to have Watson around, and while he isn't loved by many in the Browns fan base, it does sound like Watson is helping the young man out.
“[Watson is] a vet. He did a lot. He accomplished a lot in his career, obviously,” Sanders said, per Heavy. “So when I have questions about certain things, I ask him, like, ‘What you think about this?’ And I just like hearing his perspective of problems that I could have or the way how I think about things.”
No matter what anybody wants to say about Watson, it's impossible to argue that at one point, he was one of the five better quarterbacks in the NFL. I'm not sure what exactly has happened since then, but it obviously hasn't all been good.
