Fans believe that Angel Reese was throwing some shade towards her ex in a recent post on social media.
On Monday, the Orlando Magic beat the Detroit Pistons 112-101 in the first round of the NBA Playoffs series. The Atlanta Dream star posted a video on her Instagram Story celebrating her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., who plays for the Magic, dunking on her ex Jalen Duren.
While some fans simply thought that Reese was celebrating Carter, others thought her move in selecting that moment to praise him was intentional.
"My kind of girl. She's healed and moved on to a better player, and she's showing him that," one fan wrote on X.
Another fan suggested that Duren should also post in retaliation for Reese's snub if he has the opportunity to dunk on Carter.
"All Duren gotta do is dunk on Wendell and eliminate him and then post the picture with the caption “she still thinking about my n---, so I had to put em’ on a poster,” a fan commented on X.

As for her relationship with Carter Jr., they started dating last year and started spreading romance rumors when he attended her 23rd birthday party in May. The Magic star confirmed their romance in November 2025 with FanDuel.
“Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out," he shared at the time. "We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure.”
