The Denver Broncos won't have a choice in the 2026 NFL Draft until the No. 62 overall pick toward the bottom of the second round. However, this will not be unfamiliar territory for general manager George Paton.
Without a first-round pick in 2022 and 2023 following the trade for Russell Wilson, he found Nik Bonitto at No. 64 overall in 2022 and Marvin Mims Jr. at No. 63 overall the following year. Both players have been selected to the Pro Bowl already in their young careers.

— MileHighReport (@MileHighReport) December 17, 2024The Broncos have a championship-level roster to go into the 2026 season with, but the team wants to button it up with some players who can contribute early as well as add to the long-term depth on the team. Looking over the players who could still be on the board when the Broncos go on the clock in the second round, and after considering countless mock drafts, these are the five players most likely to land in Denver.
Of course, a player who is not on this list could easily be the team's pick. However, there is a strong chance that the pick is used on either a running back, tight end or inside linebacker, arguably the top three positions of need for the team right now.
Broncos' most likely second-round picks
Josiah Trotter, LB, Missouri
This pick just makes sense at this spot and it would be tough to argue. Josiah Trotter will come to the league with an NFL pedigree as his father, Jeremiah, went to four Pro Bowls with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Broncos need more depth behind Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad and that player should be added quickly in this draft.
Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt
The Broncos have met with Eli Stowers and there does seem to be interest there, as he would greatly expand the current tight end position. Built more like a big slot receiver, Stowers could give Bo Nix another field-stretching option and another solid target at tight end to pair with Evan Engram.
Max Klare, TE, Ohio State
Max Klare is a more complete tight end than Stowers. He is a great route-runner and has good hands, but he will also give you something as a blocker. Sean Payton might prefer that.
Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame
If he falls down this far, the Broncos would have to give it some serious consideration. You can make an easy argument that Jadarian Price is the second-best running back in this draft behind his college teammate Jeremiyah Love.
Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington
Jonah Coleman will be a name for Broncos fans to keep close tabs on over the next two weeks, heading into the draft. This is the kind of running back Sean Payton loves. He averaged 5.5 yards per carry in his college career and showed he can do something with the ball after catching it out of the backfield. On top of that, he understands the importance of pass protection.
Washington RB Jonah Coleman on why pass protection as a RB is important: “You not gonna play if you can’t pass pro. It’s simple. I’m paying $100M [to a QB], you’re getting paid $2M. Who’s more important?” pic.twitter.com/p5Whhr7RoO
— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) February 27, 2026The Broncos need another running back on this roster. It feels like a must that they get one in this draft. Though the second round seems a bit early to get that player, Coleman is a guy the Broncos like and he could be the pick.
