Demi Lovato Reveals Her Holiday Plans After Wedding to Jutes
Demi Lovato is feeling confident about how she'll spend her first Christmas after getting married.
Five months after she and fellow singer Jordan "Jutes" Lutes tied the knot in a California wedding, the “Heart Attack” singer shared insight into their, quite literally, sweet plans during the holiday season.
"The traditions that I'm looking forward to are just getting together with the family," Demi exclusively told E! News' Erin Lim Rhodes at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Calif. on Nov. 8. "We do bake sugar cookies and decorate them the night before Christmas, so Christmas Eve, and I'm looking forward to doing that."
But the holidays aren’t all she’s celebrating these days. After all, she marked a major career milestone with her ninth studio album It's Not That Deep, which released in October, making waves on the music charts.
And when it comes to her “really carefree” and “happy” tracks, it’s simply her art echoing life.
"I'm in a really great place in my life," she added, "and I'm ready to celebrate that with my music."
Demi previously detailed why she credits her relationship with Jutes, whom she started dating in 2022, for not only inspiring her in life but also musically.
“I think it's really a reflection of where I'm at personally," she told Paper Magazine in an interview published Sept, 15. "I’m not in this place in my life where I need these huge emotional ballads to release some sort of deep emotional trauma I'm going through."

Demi said that when she began working on the album, she started writing songs about "heavy topics" that weren't resonating, leading her to decide to switch gears.
"I'm in a place in my life where my energy feels very light," she explained. "I just got married. It was a learning curve for me to take what I've always known about music, which is write what you know now. I had to learn how to write what was new to me, and that's what this album is a reflection of. The tone of my life is lighter. I wanted a project that reflected that."
Summarizing her latest sound, she simply gushed, "Popvato is back, and let's have some fun. Period."
