It has been a hard campaign for Deion Sanders personally in 2025 after parting ways with sons Shilo and Shedeur to the NFL and dealing with a medical setback later. He underwent bladder removal surgery while his Colorado team was under tremendous stress struggling to win big games this year.

The frustration was on full display when the Buffs squared off against Utah last weekend and were defeated 53-7. It was a dominant display of strength by Utah players, where they excelled in offensive and defensive fronts.

There was a moment in the game when Coach Sanders was seen blasting defensive coordinator Robert Livingston and that had gone viral later in the day.

Per one report as quoted by Deion Sanders, it was not him ranting at Livingston for his play calling but more about personnel and the situation his team was in. He clarified that he never belittles or denigrates his coaches but the heat of the moment made him vent the frustration.

“The little situation that you caught me yelling on the sideline, I wasn’t yelling at coach about a call, I was yelling about personnel,” Sanders said on Tuesday.

“Okay, I just (want to) make it clear. So I was talking about personnel, not the call he made. I respect the calls that coach makes. I think he’s one of the best guys in the business.

"We just got to put (ourselves) in better situations and do more and the guys have to execute. But I yell on the sidelines all the time,” he added.

In the last two weeks, multiple coaches found their way out of the program, including prominent names like James Franklin, Brian Kelly, Jay Norvell and others.

Reacting to the recent outburst of fans and imminent dismissals, Coach Prime mentioned that the dynamics of college football have changed and there is no patience anymore.

“Everyone wants the quick fix, the quick things. You got mail-order brides, too, right? You get married, you know, right away. You can get a BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift). You could come in here flat, flat as I don’t know what and leave thick as a snicker. … It is a different country that we live in,” Sanders said to the reporters.

Colorado is 3-5 right now and this weekend they will face the Arizona Wildcats at home. Not to mention, it will be a huge challenge for Coach Prime to get a win against a Big 12 rival. He will be looking to wrap up the season with at least an even record in 2025.
