On Tuesday, November 4, it was reported that BTS' Jungkook's daily livestreams of his Kancho Biscuit unboxing have led to the snack's shortage in South Korea. Previously, on the occasion of Lotte Wellfood's 40th anniversary, a limited edition of the chocolate snack, Kancho, was released, where each biscuit had a name printed on it.

Following the same, since late October 2025, Jungkook has been holding Kancho biscuit unboxing livestreams on Weverse to see if his name is on any of the biscuits. So far, his attempts to find his name on the snack have been unsuccessful, and the idol has continuously been holding livestreams, determined to find the same.

After the recent report on the Kancho biscuit shortage in South Korea, netizens soon realized that several other ARMYs and fans have also been purchasing the snack to indulge in the unboxing along with Jungkook. They also found it quite hilarious that the idol had already stocked up on several boxes of the Kancho in anticipation that it might undergo a shortage or get sold out.

As the news reached more fans, people were impressed by the idol's evergreen and undying impact in the industry. They praised his influence among netizens, even through small details such as his favourite snacks. Here are a few fan reactions regarding the same:

"The definition of the Jung kook effect. Kancho not only has been receiving the best advertising of their life but now sales He knows he’s the sold out king that’s why he bought 2 bags full after the kombucha incident he doesn’t trust his fans." said a fan

The definition of the Jungkook effect🤣 Kancho not only has been receiving the best advertising of their life but now sales He knows he’s the sold out king that’s why he bought 2 bags full after the kombucha incident he doesn’t trust his fans🤣

More fans and netizens expressed their reactions to Jungkook's Kancho biscuit unboxing livestreams, leading to a shortage in South Korea.

Reminds me of when Jungkook couldn’t get his favourite lemon flavoured kombucha because it was sold out 😅😂

As we all can agree this is the Jeon Jungkook effect. What ever he touches turns into gold, well, SOLD OUT mostly, but same same. 😝🤗 I mean, I was pulled into the Kancho train.

They need to release a full packet of his govt name and nicknames! As a gift now!!

Jungkook knew this would happen thats why he bought it in bulk 😭😭😭

Others also shared their thoughts and opinions about the same.

I knew it was only a matter of time until they were all sold out😂

Jungkook’s impact is on another level. The way he influences not just fans but even idols is insane. His power, presence, and legacy are truly unmatched.

His impact is unmatched 🧿
