The Death Riders suffered a major setback this past weekend on AEW television. The violent heel group has now sent a message to their enemies ahead of their Blood and Guts match this week.
Last Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Claudio Castagnoli faced off against Orange Cassidy, and Darby Allin battled Daniel Garcia, in a bid to secure the advantage for the 2025 Men's Blood and Guts match on behalf of their respective teams. Because The Swiss Cyborg defeated OC, and the face-painted daredevil beat The Red Death, it all came down to the third bout of the series between Jon Moxley and Roderick Strong last Saturday on AEW Collision. Shockingly, The One True King lost to the Paragon member, again via count-out, due to outside interference from Darby.
When Mox's stable-mate Pac attempted to get his hands on Allin, the latter incapacitated him with a taser, which he wielded to scare off the rest of the group. The Death Riders lashed out against the former TNT Champion and his teammates for Blood and Guts backstage after AEW Collision. The Man that Gravity Forgot promised to seek vengeance on Darby. Afterwards, Moxley claimed that their side did not need the advantage against Allin, Strong and the Conglomeration, and cut a fiery promo warning their enemies of the violence that awaits them on Wednesday.
"Everything we've created, everything we've done, and will do, we done it without having any advantage, we done it through sheer force of will. Bloodlust. We love the hunt. We love the pain, we love the struggle, you guys are all weak and sick and tired, you're not gonna wanna be inside of a steel cage, once you get inside, and the door gets closed and the lock gets locked, you are not gonna wanna be there, and you are gonna look for a way out, and there will be no way out. You guys aren't even a team, you guys aren't hunters, you're not predators, you're not killers, you ain't got no instincts for this! It's gonna be a very tough lesson to learn, on Wednesday night. We love it. Blood and Guts!" - said Moxley. It remains to be seen whether The Death Riders will emerge out of this year's Men's Blood and Guts victorious.
Marina Shafir possibly teased the end of The Death Riders in AEW?
Marina Shafir was Jon Moxley's first recruit when he launched The Death Riders, and has been the former AEW World Champion's most loyal soldier over the past year. However, The Purveyor of Violence has struggled to find his footing since losing his belt to Hangman Page at All In : Texas, and more recently has been dealing with a string of losses since submitting to Darby Allin at WrestleDream 2025.
Viewers have been speculating for a while now that The Death Riders could be on the verge of ejecting Mox on the charge that he is no longer a strong leader. Shafir herself may have teased the possibility on X/Twitter recently, where she posted a photograph of the stable doing a group huddle on last week's AEW Collision.
