With the 2026-27 NBA season getting nearer, there are some teams that are standing out. One of the most impressive teams during the 2026 offseason has been the Miami Heat. The front office has done a magnificent job with the refreshed roster, especially with Giannis Antetokounmpo as the new star.
As one of the core players for the Heat, Davion Mitchell is glad to be part of the project. It seems he is locked in as the starting point guard, and he commends the front office for putting in the work for the roster.

The Heat have plenty of awesome players on the roster now. Antetokounmpo is the biggest addition, but they managed to get Klay Thompson and Tim Hardaway Jr. as well. Those are complementary pieces for the Heat, as they need an offensive boost.
With Erik Spoelstra as the head coach, he has become known for working with what he has. However, things have changed in the 2026-27 season because team president Pat Riley and the front office have done a wonderful job.

Sticking with Adebayo was always the plan for Riley and his staff, but adding a superstar to pair with him is a big deal. Antetokounmpo and Adebayo probably form the most fearsome defensive partnership in the league now.
As one of the players with big roles, Mitchell is giddy to be part of this kind of roster. In fact, he is grateful the current Heat roster is so talented.
"Fire team. Fire personalities, talent, hard workers. They did a really good job putting this team together for sure. All-Defensive 1st team. Already made that, for sure," Mitchell said about the Heat on a live stream.
It will be challenging to stand out in the Eastern Conference. However, the Heat have the roster to compete with the best of the best, especially with the star power of Giannis leading the charge.
