The Los Angeles Chargers in 2026, for me, remain an exciting prospect simply because of the expectations surrounding the franchise.
With Justin Herbert at the helm, coupled with Mike McDaniel as the offensive coordinator and the other weapons on offense, there is every reason for Chargers fans to believe in 2026.
Back-to-back 11-win seasons, but no playoff victories, see the Chargers come into the new season with lofty expectations... from the outside, at least.
And for new signing David Njoku, he thinks the Chargers have everything they need to finally make a deep playoff run.
"I feel like we can be destructive," Njoku said. "We got the tools, we got the keys, we got the players to do it all. It's up to us to put it all together."

It has to happen at some point, right?
Herbert has the regular-season numbers, but is 0-3 in the playoffs. If the injury bug can stay away, coupled with what many think McDaniel can do for this offense and Herbert in particular, there are many who think that the playoffs are the bare minimum in 2026.
But once they get there, that's when everyone will take notice, as L.A. has made a habit of playing poorly in the postseason.
Njoku thinks the Chargers have everything they need to do it all, but talk is cheap. Fans want to see it on the field.
Time will tell if the talk is backed up.
