David Beckham swears wife Victoria wasn’t sleeping on one of England’s biggest World Cup moments.
The couple was in a box for the quarterfinal match between England and Norway on July 11 in Miami and witnessed Jude Bellingham score the match-winning goal in the third minute of extra time that sent fans into a frenzy.
All except seemingly Victoria Beckham.
David, 51, could been seen jumping up, punching the air, and his children around him were also out of their seats while Victoria, 52, stayed seated and appeared stone faced after the goal.
The moment went viral on social media for her lack of reaction. Comedian Jenny Johnson went on to joke about the former Spice Girl’s “infectious” smile after the goal, but husband Beckham came to her defense in the comments of the Instagram post.
“She was celebrating inside I promise,” he wrote with a crying-laughing emoji. “Her reactions were slightly slower than mine.”
Every match of the FIFA World Cup will air on either FOX or FOX Sports 1. If you don’t have cable, you can take advantage of a DIRECTV free trial to stream it all.

In subsequent photos of the moment, Victoria gets on her feet and could be seen clapping among her family including children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 15.
Victoria — an Essex native — and David also were spotted sharing a hug.
Another comment that blew up under the former Manchester United star’s and read, “She’s watched enough football in her life. I mean I don’t get excited when my husband takes me to his office.”
Victoria has previously addressed her stoic expressions in her Netflix docu-series “Victoria Beckham,” agreeing that she is usually feeling a lot on the inside but it doesn’t always show on the outside.
“I’ve looked miserable for all these years because when we stand on the red carpet, this guy has always gone on the left,” she said of appearing next to David, per People.
“Now I didn’t realize that when I smile, which I do, I smile from the left ‘cause if I smile from the right I look unwell. Consequently, I’m smiling on the inside, but no one ever sees it, so that’s why I look so moody.”
David and Victoria are expected to be at England’s semifinal match against Argentina on Wednesday in Atlanta.
