Dani Busboom Kelly expressed her thoughts about the Nebraska volleyball team's match against UCLA at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. The Huskers marched on to the match with an unbeaten streak in the season, along with a record of not losing a set in their last 15 matches from September 16, 2025. However, they faced a great challenge from UCLA in front of a record crowd of 10,498 fans at the Pauley Pavilion.

After putting forward a strong performance in the first set, the Nebraska volleyball team appeared to slow down as UCLA pushed through their defense in the second and third sets. Moreover, UCLA won the third set with a score of 25-19 to end the team's unbeaten 45-set streak in the season. However, the Nebraska volleyball team bounced back quickly to clinch the victory with a score of 25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-15.

Harper Murray delivered a total of 14 kills from 42 attacks. Andi Jackson and Rebekah Allick played a crucial role in the team's attack. Bergen Reilly continued to be an integral part of the team's support with 34 assists. Dani Busboom Kelly spoke about facing a challenge in a post-match interview and lauded the Nebraska volleyball team for remaining calm under pressure.

“It was good for us to get tested, and then I thought we delivered. In some big moments, certain players who knew they were going to get the ball had to get the kill. It was great to see them do that under pressure," she said.

She expressed how it gave the team the confidence to go head-to-head against other competitive teams as they advanced unbeaten in the season.
