The Nebraska volleyball team is yet to drop a set since September 16 and continued their dominance in their match against Michigan State. Dani Busboom Kelly spoke about the team's dominance in a pre-match press conference and weighed in on the fact that the team hasn't lost a set in over a month.
She shared how the team would deal with dropping a set and shared insights about the team's preparations as they advanced in the 2025 season. Busboom Kelly revealed that they recently had a strong practice session, which gave the team a confidence boost, and she is looking forward to great matches in the future.
"I wouldn't say there is anything like super unique or new that we are doing, just making sure that our practices are structured to set up like some really good match-ups, and when we mix up teams, that allows us to do that. But putting our players in challenging situations in practice against other players has been pretty important. I feel yesterday was one of our most competitive practices in a while, so that was a great sign. I think in October, when you can walk from practice and say that. So, proud of them for that," she said. (2:55)Furthermore, Busboom Kelly lauded the players for putting forward strong performances and displaying strong camaraderie on the court.

The former Husker shared that the Nebraska volleyball team is very motivated to compete in the 2025 season, especially after missing the NCAA national championship title by small margins over the past two years.
She expressed how the players are pushing each other to put forward their best performance and advance towards their goals.
"During our practices, we have really competitive practices. You know, we are always mixing our teams up, making sure we are creating different match-ups that could be similar to the game. Again, I have said this so many times. The team has fallen short, the bulk of the team for two years now. So, they are pretty hungry, and I think they understand that what is going to happen if they get complacent and it's not going to be good," she said.
