Curt Cignetti may be on the verge of turning his famously simple lunch routine into an unlikely brand partnership.
The Indiana Hoosiers coach is a burrito bowl loyalist, reportedly eating the same order every day from Chipotle with rice, beans, chicken and a side of guacamole. As first explained by The Wall Street Journal, Cignetti's habit is about to pay off.
Chipotle reportedly embraced the story as Indiana charges toward the College Football Playoff national championship game Monday against Miami.
In a statement to TMZ Sports, Chipotle acknowledged Cignetti’s fandom and even highlighted the dedication of his assistant director of football operations, who ranks in the top one percent of Chipotle Rewards members in the state of Indiana.

Chipotle confirmed it has already had conversations with Cignetti’s management about a possible future partnership, but the company is intentionally taking a step back for now.
“Right now, it’s important that we let him focus on his team’s ultimate goal,” the company said.
That goal is clear for Indiana, who entered the season on a hot streak from the 2024 season. While the Hoosiers' season ended in heartbreak with a CFP loss, this year is a much different story. They'll try to become college football's first 16-0 team in over 130 years. A stunning rise under Cignetti for a program that historically struggled to reach bowl eligibility.

Cignetti’s unwavering routine with the same bowl, same order, every day except when traveling has become a symbol of his no-nonsense, process-driven approach. With Indiana stacking wins, nobody is questioning the method.
Chipotle may be hands-off this week, but once the season ends, don’t be surprised if college football’s most unexpected powerhouse has an equally unexpected pitchman waiting.
