Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a simple congratulatory message to the Al-Nassr women's team after they emerged as champions of the Premier Challenge Cup. The first edition of the competition, a domestic cup competition in Saudi Arabia, has come to an end with Al-Nassr tasting glory.

Invested fully in his team, Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to have followed closely as the women's team of the Knights of Najd faced Asisat Oshoala and the Al-Hilal women's team in the final. Al-Nassr women won 2-0 thanks to a pair of goals in the first half, and Ronaldo was impressed with the team. The 40-year-old congratulated the team with a simple two-word message on his Instagram story.

"Well done!!! 👏🏼", he wrote under a photo of the squad.

Al-Nassr women were victorious in the cup while their men's team remains on break ahead of the resumption of league action later this week. Ronaldo and co lead the way in the Saudi Pro League after nine rounds of matches in the division.

Cristiano Ronaldo's team have won all nine of their league games this season and have a 100% record in the AFC Champions League Two, as well. Their only defeat this season came in their King's Cup Round of 16 meeting with Al-Ittihad in October, which saw them get eliminated from the competition.

Portuguese tactician Jorge Jesus was brought in to help Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates win silverware after multiple heartbreaks in recent years. They will hope to gain motivation from victory of their women's team, who have won the past three editions of their league.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr slapped with transfer restriction: Reports

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have been dealt a blow as they are set to face a transfer ban, as per reports. The Saudi giants appear to have been hit with a restriction from FIFA over irregularities in previous transfer dealings.

A report from Saudi outlet Al-Riyadhiya (via Be Soccer) has revealed that the transfer restriction has been put in place because of an outstanding debt to Manchester City for Aymeric Laporte. The Spain international joined the Knights of Najd in August 2023 for a fee of around £24 million before leaving for Athletic Club in the summer.

Al-Nassr will be unable to register any new players from December 19th, when the transfer restriction took effect, until it is lifted by FIFA. They will be disappointed by the decision after plans must have been made to strengthen in January following an excellent start to the 2025-26 season.
