Cristiano Ronaldo has put an end to speculation about his future by putting pen to paper on a two-year contract extension at Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
Reports earlier this month claimed that the Portugal international could leave the Saudi Arabian side after he tweeted out an image of himself with the caption "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written".
That post, plus comments from FIFA chief Gianni Infantino that Ronaldo could play at the Club World Cup, prompted a flurry of rumours.

Reports also claimed that the former Manchester United man turned down several clubs who were participating in the tournament, as speculation continued to mount about his future.
But the former Ballon d'Or winner has now ended that speculation by penning a new deal with the Riyadh outfit to 2027.
Now that Ronaldo has committed his future to Al-Nassr, his next goal will be to get his hands on some silverware with the club having missed out on major trophies in the season gone by.
However, the Portugal skipper will have to do so under the guidance of a new coach after Al-Nassr sacked Stefano Pioli on Wednesday and replaced him with Ronaldo’s compatriot, Jorge Jesus.
