The Dallas Cowboys to count on a band of misfit wide receivers to make things happen opposite superstar CeeDee Lamb.
It's not a good plan.
The Sporting News' senior NFL writer Vinnie Iyer has a different solution for the Cowboys.
Iyer writes that Dallas should sign free agent Amari Cooper.
"The Cowboys went from potentially landing Matthew Golden in the draft to not taking any wideout to better support CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott," Iyer said. "They must keep thinking about an Amari Cooper reunion."
Cooper spent four years with the Cowboys after being traded to Dallas from his first team, the Raiders.

In those four seasons, Cooper caught 292 passes for 3,893 yards and 27 TDs.
He became a favorite target of Dak Prescott.
Cooper's been away since 2021, spending time in Cleveland and Buffalo.
He's not the same player he once was, but he still makes some impressive contested catches.
Cooper is still just 30, too. He could have a few solid years left in him.

Just get Cooper to Dallas and see what happens. Maybe there are hard feelings, but at the end of the day, Cooper will likely pursue the job that gives him the best opportunity.
With the Cowboys, Cooper would walk right in as WR2 with a defense attention-grabbing WR1 on the backside. Cook all day long.
