Ahead of Tuesday's NFL Trade Deadline, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are targeting some of the biggest names on the market.
Jones confirmed that the Cowboys had already agreed to a trade, which would become official on Tuesday. He also suggested that more trades could be coming. Shortly before Week 9's Monday Night Football game between the Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals, Jordan Schultz reported on some of the names that could be involved.
"My understanding is the #Cowboys have spoken to the Bengals on DE Trey Hendrickson and LB Logan Wilson, and to the Dolphins on OLB Bradley Chubb," Schultz reported. "They’ve had talks with other teams as well."
Schultz also quoted a source saying, "At least one deal is getting done somewhere," which would validate Jones' comments from earlier in the day.
Ahead of Monday's game, Dallas was allowing an average of 31.3 points per game, the second-worst total in the NFL. The pass rush (or lack thereof) without Micah Parsons has been a factor, as the Cowboys have recorded only 15 sacks on the season, the eighth-worst total in the league.
Chubb and Hendrickson are both multiple-time Pro Bowlers and have each tallied four sacks on the season. Landing either of them would give the Cowboys a chance to be much more formidable on defense.
